The ice rink at Domino Park opens for the 2026 to 2027 season on Monday, November 9, putting skaters back on the Williamsburg waterfront in Domino Square for more than three months. The park's operators have posted the full season: November 9 through February 21, 2027, outdoors, rain or shine.
The main entrance is on South 3rd Street between Kent Avenue and River Street, a walk from the J, M and Z at Marcy Avenue or the L at Bedford Avenue.
When the rink is open
Domino Park has set different hours for the school weeks and the holidays:
- November 9 to December 22: weekdays 2:30 to 9 p.m., weekends 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Thanksgiving, November 26 and 27: 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. both days.
- December 23 to January 3: every day, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., through the winter break.
- January 4 to February 15: back to the November schedule, with some extended hours around holidays.
- February 16 to 21: 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the final week.
How a session works
Skating runs in 75-minute sessions, and the park encourages booking ahead. Rental skates come in sizes from youth 8 to adult 13. For new skaters, skate aids, the frames younger children push across the ice, rent for $18 and are available until 4 p.m. on weekends and 7 p.m. on weekdays.
Anyone who does not want to skate can watch from outside the ice without a ticket. Groups of ten or more get 20 percent off. Domino Park has not posted general admission prices on its rink page yet, so check when booking.
Lessons on the waterfront
This season Fireworks Skating Academy is running a Learn to Skate program at the rink, for beginners who want more than a few laps holding the wall. Questions about lessons and group bookings go to skate@dominopark.com.
Food in Domino Square
The rink sits in Domino Square, which now has two food counters open beside it. They are Stretch Pizza, from chef Wylie Dufresne with Breads Bakery, and Frita Batidos. Both are open now, so a skating session can end with dinner a few steps from the ice.
The setting
Domino Park runs along the East River on the site of the former Domino Sugar refinery, with the Williamsburg Bridge to the south and the Manhattan skyline across the water.
