Booth's Extra Fine, a steakhouse from chef and owner Nick Pfannerstill, is now serving dinner at 62 South 2nd Street in Williamsburg. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 6 to 11 p.m.
The restaurant is named for Pfannerstill's grandfather, Booth, a Milwaukee car salesman who dressed sharply and spent his evenings at supper clubs over steaks and martinis. The idea started with a family photo album found in 2019, full of black-and-white pictures of Booth and the restaurants of his era. Those photographs now hang on the restaurant's walls.
Who is cooking
Pfannerstill grew up in Kentucky and has spent more than two decades in restaurants. He worked his way up at Café Boulud and became chef de cuisine at Dovetail, where the restaurant kept its Michelin star for five straight years during his time there. In 2019 he co-founded Nobody Told Me, and Booth's is his newest restaurant.
What is on the menu
The dinner menu is built around broiled steaks and chops, each served with a signature sauce:
- A 6-ounce petite filet mignon for $55 and a 10-ounce Booth's filet for $70.
- A 14-ounce New York strip for $68 and a 14-ounce ribeye for $65.
- An 18-ounce pork chop for $45 and a lamb kebab for $55.
- A 28-ounce aged bone-in ribeye for two at $120.
Extra sauces are $4 each, among them salsa verde, red wine shallot jus, aged brandy peppercorn and a whipped horseradish creole.
The chilled seafood section has oysters on the half shell and jumbo shrimp at $25 each, tuna carpaccio at $26, smoked fish dip at $18 and a caviar course at $45. For the table there are warm potato chips with blue cheese and rosemary, a relish tray, steak tartare with anchovy butter, devils on horseback made with foie gras sausage, and crab imperial. Entrées beyond the grill include grilled dorade and chicken schnitzel at $36, an Extra Fine burger with horseradish cheddar at $28, and Booth's Deluxe, an 8-ounce butcher's cut with fries, at $45.
The wine list pours by the glass and bottle, from Petit Chablis and Sancerre to a Napa Valley cabernet, and a Martini Hour is listed as coming soon.

Booth's takes private events. A partial buyout seats up to 25 or holds 40 standing, and the full restaurant seats up to 75 or holds 100 standing.
