Vitaly Beckman, the illusionist known as Vitaly, is bringing his show An Evening of Wonders to Queens Theatre in Flushing Meadows Corona Park for two performances only: Saturday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m.
What the show is
Vitaly's act is built around art rather than top hats. According to Queens Theatre, he brings photos and paintings to life on stage and makes audience members' faces disappear from their own ID cards. The show is framed as a theatrical retelling of his own path from a boy with a dream to a working illusionist, blending illusion with his visual style.
He has credentials to match. Vitaly fooled Penn & Teller on their television show Fool Us, starred in a 16-week off-Broadway run and has performed in Times Square, according to the theater's listing.

More on the Queens Theatre calendar
The illusionist's weekend sits between two other Queens Theatre Presents dates. On Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m., Chicago vocalist Tammy McCann performs The Legendary Ladies of Jazz. On Saturday, Dec. 19, at noon, the theater and the Rock and Roll Playhouse present The Great Holiday Rock Show, a concert for kids. Both are part of Queens Theatre's 2026-27 season of music, dance, theater and family programs.
How to get there
Queens Theatre sits in the middle of Flushing Meadows Corona Park, directly under the observation towers of the New York State Pavilion, near the Unisphere, the Queens Museum and the New York Hall of Science. By subway, take the 7 train; the theater posts walking directions from the 7 and details of a free shuttle from the train on its Getting Here page. The Long Island Rail Road also serves the park. Drivers can reach the park from the Grand Central Parkway, the Van Wyck Expressway and the Long Island Expressway.
Tickets for both performances are sold on the show's page at queenstheatre.org.
