Fitness at the Fort, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays

Led by instructor Nancy Bruning, the class climbs the park's staircases and mixes stretching, strength exercises, tree identification and forest bathing. Every class meets at the Heather Garden entrance. Classes are built for all fitness levels but involve brisk walking and stairs.
The Saturday class finishes at the Anne Loftus Playground, using its equipment, and offers an optional group walk afterward to the Greenmarket on Isham Street in Inwood. Classes do not meet in rain or in extreme cold or wind, so check the NYC Parks event page before heading out. This week the class meets Tuesday, October 27, Thursday, October 29, and Saturday, October 31.
