DUMBO's Halloween week runs from a free toddler concert at the top of Time Out Market to a Día de Muertos taco party on Front Street. Here are four things happening in the neighborhood between Thursday, October 29, and Sunday, November 1, each confirmed on its organizer's own listing.
Thursday, October 29: M Clark's Just Between Us at Mazlish | Wright
Mazlish | Wright Contemporary, an artist-run gallery at 65 Pearl Street, opens a show of new work by M Clark with an opening night from 6 to 9 p.m. Clark works in metallic foil, and the gallery describes the pieces in Just Between Us as an exploration of how significance forms.
Friday, October 30: storytime at Jane's Carousel
A Brooklyn Public Library librarian from the Adams Street branch leads a free storytime at Jane's Carousel, 1 Old Dock Street in Brooklyn Bridge Park, from 10 to 11 a.m. It is aimed at young children and their grown-ups, and no registration is listed.
Saturday, October 31: a free Halloween concert for the littlest kids
Children's musician Suzi Shelton plays a free Halloween show for babies and toddlers on the fifth floor of Time Out Market, 55 Water Street. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the set runs from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Macaroni KID Brooklyn NW presents it with Time Out Market. Costumes are encouraged, there is stroller parking, and tickets are free through the market's Eventbrite page.
Sunday, November 1: Día de Muertos at Titán
Titán, the Northern Mexico-inspired restaurant at 5 Front Street, marks Día de Muertos from 2 to 7 p.m. with the launch of a new Carne Asada series. DJ Amores is on the decks, and the bar is pouring drink specials with El Guey Mezcal and Lalo Tequila in collaboration with Blackbird, alongside tacos. The DUMBO BID listing does not give a price, so expect to pay for what you order.
Titán's team includes chef and partner Alan Delgado and bar director and partner Ivy Mix, with managing partners Lauren Broder and Julian Brizzi. The restaurant serves brunch and dinner; reservations and hours are on its site, or call 347-352-8008.
