The Coney Island Amphitheater, the open-air concert venue on the Riegelmann Boardwalk at West 21st Street, hosts Tbilisoba NY 2026, a Georgian cultural festival, on Sunday, November 8, from noon to 6 p.m.
The day is hosted by Pesvebi NY together with All About Brooklyn, and the program they have posted covers Georgian dance, Georgian music, Georgian wine and Georgian food. Admission is $20, with tickets sold at the venue.
What Tbilisoba is
Tbilisoba takes its name from Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, where a city festival of the same name is held each autumn. The New York edition brings it to the beach in Brooklyn: an afternoon of performances on the amphitheater stage, with Georgian wine and dishes from the Georgian kitchen alongside.
The hosts call it their annual Tbilisoba celebration, and it is open to anyone with a ticket, whether or not they have Georgian roots.
The venue in November
The amphitheater is open to the air and sits on the boardwalk, so dress for a November afternoon by the Atlantic. Luna Park closed its rides for the season on November 1, so the festival has the boardwalk largely to itself.
Getting there
The D, F, N and Q trains all end at Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue. From the station, walk south on Stillwell Avenue to the boardwalk and west a few blocks to West 21st Street. The amphitheater's street address is 3052 West 21st Street.
