Staten Island Academy's girls' varsity tennis team won the 2026 CHSAA championship, beating St. Joseph Hill Academy 3-1 in the final on the school's own courts on Todt Hill Road, the school announced on October 19.

The CHSAA is the Catholic High School Athletic Association, the league that private and parochial schools across the city play in.

Saturday: Academy Day and homecoming

The win comes days before one of the busiest weekends on the school's calendar. On Saturday, October 24, the Academy holds three events on its campus at 715 Todt Hill Road:

  • All-school admissions open house: 10 a.m. to noon
  • Academy Day: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Alumni homecoming: 2 to 4 p.m.

More open houses this week and next

The school also lists a Grade 9 admissions open house on Wednesday, October 21, from 7 to 9 p.m., and an early childhood and lower school open house on Wednesday, October 28, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Its Tiger Classic golf outing, a fundraiser, follows on Thursday, October 29.
