The skating season under the Brooklyn Bridge has a start date. Roebling Rink, Brooklyn Bridge Park's seasonal pop-up ice rink, returns on Saturday, Nov. 14, and stays open daily through Sunday, Jan. 31, 2027, on Emily Warren Roebling Plaza in DUMBO.
Where it is
The rink sits on Emily Warren Roebling Plaza, the park's plaza beneath the Brooklyn Bridge, with the Manhattan skyline across the East River. The park describes the rink as suited both to experienced skaters and to people trying the ice for the first time, with lights strung over the plaza for the winter.
What is known so far
The park has posted the season's dates and location. Daily hours, admission prices and skate rental prices have not been posted yet. The park sends visitors to the rink's own site, roeblingrink.com, for tickets, details and answers to common questions, and that site currently confirms the Nov. 14 opening.
Brooklyn Bridge Park itself is free to enter and open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.
Getting there
The park encourages public transit, since parking nearby is limited. The closest stops are:
- F to York Street
- A or C to High Street, or Jay St-MetroTech
- 2 or 3 to Clark Street
- 4 or 5 to Borough Hall
- The B25 bus to Fulton Ferry Landing, or the B67 to Jay and York streets
- NYC Ferry's East River and South Brooklyn routes to DUMBO/Fulton Ferry
Citi Bike has docks at Old Fulton Street by Pier 1, at Water and Main streets, and at Pier 2.
Plan ahead
Opening day is Saturday, Nov. 14. Watch roeblingrink.com for hours and tickets as the date gets closer, and pair a skate with the rest of the park, whose waterfront paths and piers are a short walk from the plaza.
