NYU Langone Health opened a 28,000-square-foot radiology center at 1980 Broadway on the Upper West Side on Oct. 12. NYU Langone Radiology Upper West Side brings breast, brain, heart and cancer imaging and screening to one address near Lincoln Center, including equipment the health system says is hard to find elsewhere.
What is inside
- PET/MR. A combined scanner that captures PET and MRI images in one session, used to help identify dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases as well as some cancers.
- Advanced cardiac CT. Imaging of the heart and blood vessels without surgery. The center's equipment includes a Siemens Healthineers NAEOTOM Alpha CT scanner.
- 3D mammography. Breast screening paired with AI tools that help radiologists catch cancer early.
How results work
Scans are read by subspecialist radiologists, most within 24 hours. NYU Langone has more than 325 radiologists, and records from the new center connect to the system's other locations, so a patient's imaging follows them to their doctors. NYU Langone runs more than 400 outpatient locations in all.
How to book
Appointments can be made through MyChart or the NYU Langone Health app, or by phone at 212-263-8868. The center is at 1980 Broadway, New York, NY 10023, a block from the 66 Street–Lincoln Center station on the 1 train.
