Lapland, the British company behind the LaplandUK Christmas experience, is opening a store at 3 West 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The company's US website lists the address, just west of Fifth Avenue, and is running a countdown clock to opening day.

The shop will sell the brand's Christmas keepsakes, advent calendars, family pajamas and Christmas Eve gift sets, all built around the Elven world the company has spent years staging for families in England. Until now, American shoppers could only buy the line online.

What Lapland Is

In the UK, Lapland's main business is a ticketed, theatrical Christmas outing. Families travel to one of two sites, in Ascot and in Manchester, and spend up to four and a half hours in a staged woodland world. Children help Elves build toys in a toy factory, decorate gingerbread with Mother Christmas, ice skate and write letters in an Elven village, meet reindeer, and finish with a personal visit with Father Christmas. Invitations arrive by what the company calls Reindeer Post, and the experience leans on film-style set building and live performers to keep the story believable for young children.

The company has since added a retail arm, the Lapland Store, which sells products drawn from that storyline. The New York shop is the physical home for that line in the United States, and the company describes the effort as bringing Lapland to New York City alongside its national online collection.

What Will Be on the Shelves

The online US store gives a clear picture of the range and prices. Among the lines listed:

  • The Advent of Belief, a red and gold-foiled advent calendar holding 25 gifts, including a plush bear, a husky puppy toy, snow globes, small linen-bound storybooks, chocolate coins and wooden keepsakes. It is listed at $249 and ships from early November.
  • The Christmas Eve Collection, a set of pieces meant to arrive before Christmas Eve, packed in a Lapland Chest if you choose. Children's pajamas are $65 and adult pajamas are $75, and each comes with a personalized letter from Father Christmas.
  • The Tree of Treasures Collection, ceramic baubles illustrated with scenes of Father Christmas and his Elves, wooden tree hangings and red ribbon bows. Pieces start at $15, and a six-bauble chest set is also offered.
  • Home pieces such as a hand-embroidered Christmas Story Time Blanket with a faux fur underside, listed at $135, and a storybook titled The Untold Story of Father Christmas at $30.

Online, the brand includes hot chocolate free with orders over $100, and adds a Christmas Eve chest on orders over $200. The company has not posted whether the same offers will apply in the store.

The Location

The store sits on the north side of the 57th Street shopping strip, between Fifth and Sixth avenues, a block that draws heavy foot traffic from November on as holiday windows go up along Fifth Avenue. The site lists the full address as 3 W 57th St, New York, NY 10019. That puts it a short walk from the Plaza district and the southeast corner of Central Park, and about a 10 minute walk north of Rockefeller Center.

For families making a day of it in Midtown in early November, the store can be paired with other seasonal stops nearby, and it opens a few weeks before the city's holiday crowds peak around Thanksgiving.

Getting There

The closest subway stops are:

57 St on the F line, at Sixth Avenue, about a block west of the store. 5 Av/59 St on the N, R and W lines, a short walk north along Fifth Avenue. 5 Av/53 St on the E and M lines, about four blocks south. Several crosstown and Fifth Avenue bus routes also stop within a block or two.

What We Do Not Know Yet

Lapland has not yet posted daily store hours, whether entry will require a timed reservation during the busiest weeks, or exactly which in-store activities will be offered on opening day. The company is collecting sign-ups on its NYC page for updates from the store, and it posts news on its Instagram account. If you plan to visit in the first week, check those channels before heading out, since new holiday shops on this stretch often see lines in the first days.
