Lidl has opened a grocery store at 335 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea, on the ground floor of the Mabel building. The store held its grand opening on Wednesday, Oct. 7, with a 7:40 a.m. ribbon cutting, and is open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
What is in the store
The store covers more than 12,100 square feet and carries fresh produce, meat and pantry staples. It has an in-store bakery, where a butter croissant costs 49 cents, and a weekly rotating aisle of non-food items. Shoppers who use the Lidl Plus app collect points and digital coupons. Brayan Garcia is the store manager.

Mabel was developed by MAG Partners, led by CEO MaryAnne Gilmartin.
