A Park Slope grocery is marking its first year with a grand opening. K-Slope Market, the Asian-American grocery at 329 Ninth Street, between Fourth and Fifth Avenues, will hold a grand opening and first-anniversary event on Saturday, November 21, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The market has announced music, demos, store merchandise and giveaways for the day, and it has told shoppers to expect some free samples along the way.
What the store sells
K-Slope describes itself as an Asian-American grocery. Its counters include Korean soups and banchan, the small side dishes that come with every Korean meal, sushi made in the store each day, and a full butcher counter. The shelves mix Korean, Japanese and other Asian pantry staples such as soy sauces, tamari and sesame oils with everyday American groceries, produce, dairy, bread, frozen food and household goods.
The store posts weekly sale prices on its website and on Instagram, and it takes orders online for pickup at the store or for delivery.
