Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes's musical about one summer on a Washington Heights block is back on a Manhattan stage. New York City Center opened its 2026 to 2027 season with In the Heights on October 28, and the production runs on the theater's mainstage on West 55th Street through Sunday, November 15.

The run opened with City Center's annual gala performance on October 28. This weekend is the end of the first of three weeks, which leaves two more full weeks of performances for anyone who has not yet gone.

Who is in it

David Mendizábal directs, with choreography by Mayte Natalio and music direction by Alejandro Senior. Matte Martinez plays Usnavi, the bodega owner at the center of the story. Jaci Calderon is Nina, Ashley De La Rosa is Vanessa and Aaron James McKenzie is Benny. Natalie Venetia Belcon plays Abuela Claudia, Ishmael Gonzalez plays Sonny, Linedy Genao is Daniela, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino is Carla, Cedric Leiba Jr. is the Piragüero, and Ivan Hernandez and Veronica Vazquez-Jackson play Kevin and Camila Rosario.

City Center lists the running time as two hours and 30 minutes, with an intermission, and notes that casting is subject to change.

Tickets at $28 or less

City Center has set aside 10,000 tickets to this production at $28 or less, sold through four routes. Heights Rush is the one open to the general public, at $28. The Community Ticket Initiative offers $5 tickets to New York City nonprofits to share with the people they serve. A $10 student matinee for public school students in grades 6 through 12 on Wednesday, November 4, is sold out and has a waitlist. The fourth route is City Center's Access Club.

City Center limits orders to eight tickets per household, with lower limits on Access Club and Heights Rush tickets, which are not transferable. Groups of 10 or more can book through Broadway Inbound at 866-302-0995. For Heights Rush details, the box office is at 212-581-1212.
