The Staten Island FerryHawks have set the date for their holiday festival. Holidays with the Hawks takes over SIUH Community Park, the team's ballpark on the St. George waterfront, on Sunday, December 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free with an RSVP, and every visitor who brings a new toy for Toys for Tots gets a voucher for a 2027 FerryHawks game.

When the team first announced the festival in October, it said only that this year's would be bigger than before and that the date was still to come. The full plan is now posted on the team's site, put together with the events company Faire & Flourish.

One toy, one ticket

The toy drive is the part with a payoff for fans. Bring a new toy to donate to the Staten Island Marine Toys for Tots campaign and the team hands back a voucher for a 2027 FerryHawks ticket, one voucher per toy, with a limit of two vouchers per person.

The toys will not have far to travel. This season the ballpark is also the borough's Toys for Tots operations center: the FerryHawks gave the campaign space at SIUH Community Park to receive, sort, store and send out the toys collected across Staten Island, which the team announced in October.

What else is on

  • More than 50 small-business vendors selling handmade gifts, jewelry, clothing, home decor, holiday decorations and baked goods.
  • Photos with Santa during the day.
  • Breakfast with Santa in the ballpark's Skyline Suites, with seatings at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. This is the one part that needs a reservation and a paid ticket.
  • Live entertainment, including a holiday marching band and performances by local schools.
  • Children's activities throughout the day. Some carry an extra fee.
  • Food and drinks from a range of vendors.

Raffles for two causes

The festival runs a 50/50 raffle for the Children's Literacy Society and prize raffles for the SIUH Northwell Brian Halpin Pediatric Cancer Center at Staten Island University Hospital, the hospital whose name is on the ballpark.

Before you go

Admission is free for all ages, but the team asks everyone to RSVP through its Eventbrite page, which is linked from the event listing on ferryhawks.com. Breakfast with Santa tickets and prepaid parking are sold separately through the same listing. Food, drinks, raffles, merchandise and some children's activities cost extra.

Dress for the weather: the festival is outdoors and the team says it is subject to conditions on the day, and that the schedule and activities may change.

Getting there

SIUH Community Park sits on Richmond Terrace beside the St. George Ferry Terminal, so the free Staten Island Ferry from Whitehall Street in Manhattan drops visitors a short walk from the gates. The terminal is also the northern end of the Staten Island Railway and a hub for borough buses.

The FerryHawks, who play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, count down on their site to the first home game of the 2027 season, on Tuesday, April 20.
