Chef Daniel Boulud opened Brasserie Boulud on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 1900 Broadway in One Lincoln Plaza, directly across Broadway from Lincoln Center. The restaurant fills the address that for years held three separate Boulud businesses on the block: Boulud Sud, Bar Boulud and Épicerie Boulud. The space has been rebuilt from the ground up as one French brasserie with three parts: a dinner room, a daytime café and market, and a cocktail lounge that stays open late.
The restaurant is run by The Dinex Group, the company Boulud founded in 1993 alongside his flagship, DANIEL. Its other New York restaurants include DANIEL, Le Pavillon and Jōji. Reservations for the new brasserie are taken through Resy, and the restaurant can be reached at 212-595-0303.
What Is on the Menu
The dinner menu is built around the standard brasserie repertoire. According to the restaurant and the opening announcement from The Dinex Group, the kitchen serves seafood towers and East Coast oysters with red wine mignonette, French onion soup, steak frites, boudin blanc and a lobster soufflé. A rotisserie chicken made with Sasso chicken comes with peewee potatoes, watercress and garlic jus. The DB Burger, a Boulud signature, is back on the menu as well.
Daily specials rotate through the week. The opening announcement lists Dover sole, lamb daube, duck pie and salt-baked branzino among them. Diners should expect the specials to change with the seasons.
Three Ways to Use the Space
The brasserie itself serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. That window is set up to cover both a meal before an 8 p.m. curtain at the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Philharmonic or New York City Ballet and a later dinner for people who live in the neighborhood.
Épicerie Boulud continues in the same building as a daytime café. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and serves breakfast and lunch, pastries, coffee, sandwiches and salads. Residents who used the old Épicerie counter for a morning coffee or a quick lunch on the way to work will find that option still in place.
Bar Viv is a cocktail lounge set behind the main dining room. It is open from 4 p.m. to midnight and is intended as a place for drinks after a performance lets out across the street.
The Design
Architect David Rockwell and his firm designed the new room. The centerpiece is an oval bar topped in zinc that sits in the middle of the main dining room. Seating around it mixes booths in two styles (tall Hollywood booths and narrow railroad booths), small tables for two and leather banquettes. Arches finished in cerused oak and hanging chandeliers fill out the room. There is outdoor café seating along the sidewalk.
The restaurant's website lists two main dining areas, a front room and a back room, that can be booked for private events. The back room seats up to 80 and the front room up to 76, and each can hold a standing reception of up to 125 guests. Three smaller private dining rooms on the lower level are available for birthdays, family dinners and business meals.
Why It Matters to the Neighborhood
Many residents knew the three earlier Boulud restaurants on this block of Broadway as separate stops. Bringing them together keeps a sit-down French restaurant, a daytime café and a late bar on the same corner, all within a short walk of the Lincoln Center campus, Dante Park and the residential blocks of the West 60s.
For neighbors, the practical change is that breakfast, lunch, dinner and a nightcap now share one entrance and one set of hours. The café opens at 7 a.m., dinner runs until 10:30 p.m. and the lounge serves until midnight, which covers most of the day from Tuesday through Sunday.
How to Go
Brasserie Boulud is at 1900 Broadway, between West 64th and West 65th Streets, across from Lincoln Center. The closest subway is the 66 St-Lincoln Center station on the 1 train, about a block away. The A, B, C and D trains stop at 59 St-Columbus Circle, roughly a six-minute walk south. The M5, M7 and M104 buses run along Broadway and Columbus Avenue nearby.
Hours at a glance: the brasserie serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday, 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. Épicerie Boulud is open Tuesday through Sunday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Bar Viv is open 4 p.m. to midnight. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Book dinner on Resy through the restaurant's website, call 212-595-0303, or email brasserieboulud@danielboulud.com for private dining. Check the restaurant's website before going, since hours at a new restaurant can shift in the first weeks.
