Joseph Gilbert Totten served most of his time as chief engineer in the rank of colonel and was promoted to Brigadier General in 1863. Come learn about his contributions to American military history and his fortification designs. After touring the historic structure, the tour will head down to the Bayside Historical Society to learn from live Civil War reenactors!
