The Bayside Historical Society will celebrate the milestone Silver Anniversary of its annual Totten Trot 5K Foot Race and Kids' Fun Run in 2026. What began as a humble gathering of just 12 runners at Fort Totten Park has grown into a vibrant community event, bringing together more than 300 runners — along with their families and teams — for an unforgettable day. Our Totten Trot 5K Foot Race is a Halloween-themed, waterfront course in historic Fort Totten Park on Little Neck Bay in Bayside, a pristine stretch surrounding a preserved Civil War fortress.
